TinkerTots does not show third-party advertising and does not sell personal information. We use information to operate accounts and profiles, personalize learning, save progress, provide AI-assisted features, manage purchases, maintain safety, and respond to support requests.
1. Scope and operator
This Privacy Policy applies to the TinkerTots mobile applications, website at tinkertots.app, and related services (collectively, the “Services”). The Services are operated by Googly, LLC, doing business as TinkerTots (“TinkerTots,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
When a parent or guardian creates or manages an account or learner profile, Googly, LLC is responsible for the information described in this policy. Some vendors process information on our behalf as service providers.
2. Notice to parents and guardians
TinkerTots is designed for family use, including learning activities for children ages 3–12. A parent or legal guardian must create or authorize use of an account or guest session, set up learner profiles, review this policy, and supervise use of the Services.
We ask families to use a nickname—not a child’s full legal name—for learner profiles. Children should not enter personal information, contact details, school information, precise location, passwords, photos, or other sensitive information into profile names, feedback, or Ask Tinker.
Parents may request access to, correction of, or deletion of a learner’s information by emailing support@tinkertots.app. We may need to verify that the requester controls the associated parent account.
3. Information we process
The information we process depends on how the Services are used.

Website information
Our current website does not use advertising pixels, behavioral analytics, or account cookies. Like most websites, our hosting and network providers may process IP addresses, browser information, timestamps, requested pages, and security logs to deliver and protect the site. Following a link to an app store or another third-party site is governed by that third party’s policy.
4. How we use information
We use the information described above to:
- provide, maintain, secure, and troubleshoot the Services;
- authenticate parent and guest accounts and synchronize learning profiles;
- recommend age-appropriate activities and save learning progress;
- generate questions, explanations, and performance summaries;
- operate Tots, avatar items, games, subscriptions, and purchase restoration;
- display profile and performance information in leaderboard features;
- enforce usage limits, prevent fraud or abuse, and comply with law;
- respond to support, privacy, and feedback requests; and
- analyze deidentified or aggregated information to understand and improve the Services.
We do not sell personal information, use children’s information for targeted advertising, or show third-party advertising in the app.
5. AI-powered features
Ask Tinker, question generation, and quiz-performance summaries use artificial intelligence. When these features are used, relevant prompts, recent conversation context, quiz responses, subject category, age band, and generated output may be sent through our Supabase backend to Groq for processing.
Ask Tinker prompts and generated responses are also stored in our Supabase database so the app can maintain conversation history and enforce usage limits. AI output can be incomplete, inaccurate, or inappropriate despite our safeguards. It is provided for general educational enrichment and should not be treated as medical, legal, financial, safety, or other professional advice.
Do not enter a child’s full name, address, school, contact information, account credentials, precise location, health information, or other sensitive details into Ask Tinker or quiz feedback.
6. Leaderboards and information visible to others
TinkerTots includes weekly Tots and game-performance leaderboards. These features may show a learner profile nickname, age bracket, earned Tots, game score or completion time, and rank to other authenticated users.
Because profile nicknames may be visible outside the family account, use a non-identifying nickname and never enter a full legal name, school, location, or contact information. To request removal of a profile from leaderboard results, contact support@tinkertots.app.
8. Data retention and deletion
We retain account, profile, learning, game, reward, chat, and entitlement information while it is needed to provide the Services and for a reasonable period afterward for security, dispute resolution, fraud prevention, support, and legal obligations. Retention can vary by data type and account status.
- Profiles and learning data: generally retained while the related account or profile remains active.
- AI conversations: retained to provide history and enforce service limits until deleted with the associated account or as part of a verified request, subject to backups and legal obligations.
- Support records: retained as reasonably necessary to resolve the request and document our response.
- Transactions: purchase and subscription records may be retained for accounting, fraud prevention, store reconciliation, and legal obligations.
- Security logs and backups: may persist for a limited period after deletion before being overwritten or isolated from routine access.
- Deidentified information: may be retained when it can no longer reasonably identify or be linked to a user.
Deleting the TinkerTots app from a device does not itself delete an account or server-side data. See Account and data support for deletion instructions. Deleting a TinkerTots account does not automatically cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription; subscriptions must be managed through the applicable store.
9. Parent and user choices
Depending on location and applicable law, a parent, guardian, or account holder may have the right to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or objection regarding personal information. You may also:
- edit or delete individual learner profiles from the app;
- initiate account deletion from the app’s Settings screen;
- request account, profile, AI conversation, or leaderboard deletion through support;
- manage or cancel subscriptions through Apple App Store or Google Play settings;
- stop future collection by discontinuing use after deleting the account; and
- contact us with questions about a child’s information or to withdraw authorization.
Send privacy requests to support@tinkertots.app. Include the parent account email, the type of request, and enough information for us to locate the account. Do not email passwords or sensitive information about a child. We may verify account control before completing a request.
10. Security and international transfers
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards intended to protect information, including authenticated access, encrypted network connections, platform secure storage, restricted database policies, and access controls. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
TinkerTots and its providers may process information in the United States and other countries where privacy laws may differ from those in the user’s location. Where required, we rely on appropriate transfer mechanisms and contractual protections.
11. Changes and contact
We may update this policy as the Services, providers, or legal requirements change. We will update the effective date and provide additional notice when required. Material changes affecting children’s information may require renewed notice or consent where applicable.
